When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect data entered in the comments form. In addition to that the visitor’s IP address and the browser’s user agent string as well to ease spam detection.

An anonymized string made from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to detect if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the area of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading ones including embedded position data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download and extract any location data from the images on the website.

The contact form of this website is provided by the plugin Contact Form 7. With the default configuration, as it’s set, the plugin, in itself, does not:

  • track users by stealth;
  • write any user personal data to the database;
  • send any data to external servers;
  • use cookies.

By activating certain features in the plugin, the contact form submitter’s personal data, including their IP address, may be sent to the service provider. Thus, confirming the provider’s privacy policy is recommended.

Currently the plugin implements the Google reCAPTCHA v3 service, therefore in order to send the message it is required to confirm the Google Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy first.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics (abbreviated below with “Analytics”) is a statistics service offered by Google Inc. that allows you to track the website’s accesses and generate and view data in an aggregate and anonymous form in order to understand how the visitors use the website and to compile statistics.

Google Analytics requires, for its own working, the presence on the website’s pages of a so-called tracking code. The purpose of this code is to spot the visited pages during the browsing session on the website.

In addition to that, data collected may also include, without limitation, the domain names and the type of browser that it’s connecting to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the requested resources, the time of the request, details regarding the operating system and the IT environment you use.

These data do not allow, in any case, to find out your identity due to their nature and for the methods of their treatment they are therefore to be considered anonymous.

If you wish to prevent Google Analytics collecting your data, you can install an extension on your web browser for deactivating Google Analytics. The extension is available here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=it
